朝起きると後ろタイヤがパンクしていた。このツーリングで初めてのパンク修理。 その後、お世話になった皆に挨拶をして中国国境へと出発した。 標高3,604mにあるだけあって朝は寒い。しかし、昨日までの頭痛は無くて気分は良い。
In the morning, I found out a flat tire. After I repaired it, I left here and go to the border. This place was about 3,604m, therefor it was cold in the morning.

　悪路を3kmほど走るとキルギスの国境に到着。ここで兵士に プレゼントと言われるが、何故かマクドナルドのスマイル0円が頭に思い浮かび、 「マイ　スマイル」と笑顔で返すとそれ以上の注文は無かった。 案外、他の国境でも使える手かも。出国はスムースで15分も掛からなかった。 中国側では軍の検問でパスポート、国際免許証、バイクの国際登録証を見せて O.K。最後の関門のイルケシュタム国境に11時過ぎに到着。サーズ騒動で 入国時に体温チェックを受ける必要があることを始めて知る。 自分自身の入国には問題ないが、バイクの入国には中国の登録証が必要と言われる。 2ヶ月ほど前に欧米のライダーが国際登録証で問題なく入国できた事、 カルネに記載が無いロシアやアメリカでも入国が可能である事を伝える。 ちょうどお昼休みの時間となり、2時間の停戦タイム。この時点で入国は 50%位と予想していた。
It was about 3km from the village to the Kyrgyzstan border. One solder at this border requested me a present. Then I flashed across my mind one American hanburger shop, I answered "My present is my smile". He never requested again. The check was simple and easy. Next I was checked my international driver licence, Calnet and pasport in Chinese army check point. This was no problem, too. Finally, I arrived Chinese border but stuffes said "Your enter is no problem, but you can't enter your motorcycle." I explained one motorcyclist entered without Chinese driver licence and Chinese document before about 2 months, Russia and USA and other countries can enter with a motorcycle without Calnet, etc. It became just lunch time, we stoped to negotiate for two hours.

　係員は親切で、その内二人は英語を話せた。 パスポートは係員が預かってしまったが、 そのまま中国側のレストランでお昼を食べなさいと言われる。 パスポート無しでとりあえず中国に入国！ 国境と言うと物凄く煩いと思っていたが、ここはかなりのんびりして少しビックリ。 キルギスソム払いで久しぶりの中華（チンジャオロース）を食べるが、 これが美味い。さすが食の大国中国だと関心。
Two border stuffs could speak English and they were kind. One stuff kept my pasport and said "You go to restrant and take a lunch.". I enterd no pasport and no entry stamp.... Is it big problem? I had Chinese foods after a long time, they were very good tastes. Chinese foods are great.

　2時間の休憩の後に交渉再開。直ぐにバイクの検疫チェックを受けれて いよいよ入国かと思ったら、最後に「バイクはここに置いて入国しなさい」 と言われてしまう・・・ 仕方ないので「中国の登録証はカシュガルで取れるのか？」と尋ねると 「ウルムチまで行かないと取れない」と言われてしまう。ウルムチまでは 1,000km以上の距離があり、とてもバスで行っていられない。 「ここにバイクを停めて置くと盗難が心配だ」と伝えると、 「ウルムチの係りに電話で聞いてみるから待て」との事。 待つこと3分。結局、イルケシュタムに戻って出国する事を条件に、 一時輸入許可書の様な書類（紙切れ一枚）を作ってくれ、中国時間（北京時間）の 17時（キルギスやカシュガル非公式時間では15時）に無事、中国へ入国。 日本を出発時には予想もしていなかった5番目となる中国に。 何でも試して見るものだと強く思った。
After the rest time, I was checked the quarantine inspection. I thought I could enter China. But one stuff said "You need Chinese document. So you leave your motorcycle and you only enter China.". I heard "Can I take my Chinese document?" He said "In Urumqi, you can take it." But from Irkeshtam to Urumqi is more over 1,000km. I can only stay in 15 days, I don't have enough time. And I was worried to be stolen my motorcycle. This stuff called to one post in Urmuqi. After 3 minutes, he wrote one paper with one coment "You must return here and leave China through this border.". I could entered China with my motorcycle at 5 P.M. (Beijing time) on Aug 31. I understood to try is important before stop.

　キルギス側の岩がむき出しの山と異なり、中国側は土の山が続く。 雨が降れば斜面は削られて川は土色の赤に染まる。 ウイグル地区の川は全てタクラマカン盆地に吸い込まれて消えるが、 その川は緑を育み、多くのオアシス都市の基礎となっている。 ようやく、自分がシルクロードの一部を旅していることを実感してきた。 日没後にやっとカシュガル市に到着するも、 言葉が通じなくてホテル探しに苦労する。
Mountains was made by reddish soil and these red soils ran off in the river. All rivers come in under Taklamakan desert underground in Xinjang area. But these waters grow up many plants and trees, make Oasis. I realized I am traveling in Silk Road area. After sun set, I arrived in Kashgar it is most West citu in China. But I had a hard time to find the hotel because I couldn't Chinese and Uyghur laungage.

　やっと色満賓館（セイマンホテル）に到着してチェックインをしていたら、 日本人の夫妻に話しかけられる。誰かと思ったらアフリカから日本へ戻る 途中の荒木夫妻（あらけん＆ぽこゆうこさん）だった。 荒木さん達はパキスタンから中国へ入国を試みたがバイクは持ち込めず、 バスでカシュガルへ中華料理とお酒を飲みに来たとの事。 （パキスタンはイスラムでお酒は飲めず、料理のバリエーションにも乏しいらしい） モンゴルで会ったなかざわさん夫妻も中国入国は適わなかったらしく、 海外初心者のペーペーである自分が楽々入国できてしまい、 何だか申し訳ない気がしてきた。その後、日本人バックパッカー達が溜まる部屋で ビールをご馳走になりながら話を聞く。中国入国は旅のおまけ程度にしか 思っていなく、カシュガルで2〜3日のんびりしたら帰ろうと思っていることを 話したら、「最低でも和田（ホータン）位へ行って来なさい！」と ぽこゆうこさん（新彊ビール入り）に窘められてしまった。 うーん、そんなものかなぁ。
After one hour, I arrived Seman hotel it is famous in backpackers. When I checked in, one couple talked to me. They were Mr. and Mrs. Araki, very famuos rider in Japan. They had gone in Africa and has returned to Japan. They also tried to enter China with their motorcycle from Paiystan, they were the traveler of ripe experimence but they couldn't enter. On the other hand, I was beginer but entered easily. I was soory for to enter easily. After checked in, I went their room. Many Japanese backpokers stayed here. I enjoyed talking about each trips. First time, I thought I only stay a few days in China in my plan because to enter China is optional ture for me. But Mrs. Araki chide strongly "You must go Hotan at the minimum!". (She drank some beer...) I must go more or not?
