フーシャンのアパートでのんびりさせてもらう日々。 （体調が戻ってからはだらだらとした日になっていたが・・・） バイクの部品が何時到着するか分からないので、 観光もテヘランで有名な国立宝石美術館へ行く程度。 その宝石美術館は銀行の地下金庫の中に設置されており、 ダイヤとエメラルドとサファイヤと金で作られた地球儀や、 各王朝のシャー（王様）の財宝がこれでもか、これでもかと言わんばかりに 展示されていた。見ているとだんだん、宝石がガラス玉に見えてきて 感慨も何も無くなってきていた・・・
I spend lazy days in Teheran. I had free times but I did not know when my spaire parts come here. So I did not go other cities. One day, I went to the National Jewels Museum in the central city. This musium is under the central bank of Bank Melli. There were many treasure of Iranian imperial dynasyties. Too many jewels, I felt these jewels are only like glass balls...

　その内、ふっと「どれだけ豪華な宝石を持っていても、 人は死ぬし王朝も無くなるのだな」と思うと、何だか虚しさが込み上げて来た。 「祇園精舎の鐘の音、諸行無常の響きあり。沙羅双樹の蓮の色、盛者必衰の 理を表す。奢れるものもまた久しからず」（平家物語） その宝石達を、ツアーでは無い個人旅行で日本から来ていた、 83歳のおばあちゃんと彼女の娘さんと一緒に見学していた。 流石に年が年だけに地下1階への階段を上り下りするだけで難儀していた。 しかし、それだけの年齢になっても海外旅行をする彼女を見て、 自分は生きる元気、今後も旅を続けていく勇気を分けてもらった。 宝石の輝きは永遠かもしれない。 でも今を生きるおばあちゃんの姿を見ていたら、 人が生きる輝きの方が、宝石ほどは美しく無いかもしれないが、 宝石よりもずっと力強くてあたたかい。
And I was watching, I suddenly recalled. Kings got power and they could got many jewels. But every kings died and their dynasyties were vanished. I felt fleeting. I watched these jewels with old Japanese women, one old woman was 83 years old! She walked lame, her dauhgter and I supported at the staire. She was very old but kept her passion of forign travel. Her activity provided me energy to continue my travel. I thought jewels keep brilliance and these brilliance are beautiful, but now, her passion is more brilliant than these jewels.

　暇な毎日が続くので、食事は自炊に切り替えた。食材を買いにお店へ行くと、 野菜も肉も予想以上に豊富でかつ安い。自分のお気に入りは 近所のパン屋で売っているフランスパンの様な細長いパン。出来立てで食べると 頗る美味しいのに、僅か1,000リアル（約13円）！
I had many free times in Teheran, I cooked my food. I could buy many kind of vegitables, fruits and meats and these price was cheap. In the evening, I went to bakery and buouht fresh bread, this was very delicious and only 1,000 Rial (US$0.12)!
