恩師に挨拶をする為に大学へ。大学の現状、研究の具合など色々な 話をする。大学卒業時には気が付かなかった、先生の仕事面での凄さや 生徒に対する配慮などをとても強く感じた。その後、某大で カミツキガメの研究を行っている同期と会う。 インターネットのニュースなどで名前は聞いていたが、実際に見せてもらった カミツキガメは大人しいが大きい（甲羅のみで60cm位。尾を入れると70cmを 超える模様）。アメリカではメジャーな亀で、ペットとして日本に持ち込まれた 外来種である。これだけ大きいと日本の亀は勝てないなぁと思う。 （総じて日本の在来種は他の国のものより固体が小さい。日本人自身もそうだし、 日本の島が固体の大きさを抑制する何かを持っているのだろうか？）
I went to one university to see my profesor. We talked about recent condition of university, his laboratory resarches. Then, I understood his great for works and caring. Next, I met my university classfelow he is researching about the bite turtle. His resarch news were showed on TV and Web news, but I had the first time to look this turtle. Contrary to my expectations, the turtle is meek and so big! (The length was about 600mm) He said "When this one go out water, it is ferity and bites.) This one was imported from North America for pet. But owners released in Japan rever and lake. Now This turtle occurs the enviromental problems.

　その後、このホームページのサーバーを貸してもらっている ワープストリーム の本社へ挨拶しに向かう。折角と言うことで 社長の中間さん夫妻と夕食を共にする。 会社で多忙な日々を過ごす夫、 それを支える奥さんと二人の愛の結晶ともいえる赤ちゃん。 家庭を築く幸せを感じさせられた。
In the evening, I went to the head office of "Warpstream company" in Nishinippori, Tokyo. I had a dinner with president Nakama and his wife and his baby. We talked about family, baby care, my turing plan, etc. They presented a power for me. Thank.

　DJEBEL200のエンジン組み立てを依頼している Moto Shop M.E の店長よりメールでエンジンの不具合について連絡をもらう。 カムチェーンの破損、クランクケース内部の一部破損、 5速ギヤの虫食いが発見され、部品交換などの対処をお願いする。
I received a report from "Motoshop M.E". I recognized some bad parts and requested to change some parts.

中：クランクケース内部の一部破損。影響ない部分との事。
右：5速ギア。一番多く使用する為、歯車に虫食いや一部欠損あり。交換。
Left: A part of camchain is lost. Change new parts.
Center: A part of crank case is destroyed.
Right: A part of 5th gear is lacked or have some small holes. Change new parts.

5月18〜22日（火〜土）
May 18 to May 22.

　18日にダニエルさんより電話があり、暫く泊めて欲しいとのことなので 快諾する。大韓航空の荷物引取りが延びに延び（当初の予定の1週間遅れ）、 ようやく届いたKTM640 Adventureにてやってきた。宿泊している間に、 KTMのディーラーへ連絡、ヘルメットの新規購入など色々と準備をしていた。
In 18 afternoon, Daniel called me to stay my room. I looked his KTM at first time, thought "Too big, too high!". Its sheet top is as same as my stomach position. My DJEBEL200 is like a child cycle... Untill 22, he was staying.
