モンゴル側の国境で、自分のパスポートを持って行ったお偉いさんを 見失い、危うく銃殺刑にされるところであったが （「パスポートが無ければ銃で撃つよ」、と係員にジェスチャーされた）、 何とか取り返して事なきを得る。その後、モンゴル側の建物2階で バイクの出国手続きを行い、ロシア側へ戻る。ロシアのドキュメント（登録証）を 新たに発行してもらい、2時間近くかかってロシアへ再び入国した。 近くの町で泊まろうかとも思ったが、頑張ってウランウデに戻った方が 良いと思い、自動小銃を持った警官に止められたり、雨に降られたり、 安いと聞いたホテルで自分を見るなり「ニエット (No!)」の一点張りだった ホテルがあったりしたが（そんな所はこっちからお断りだ！）、 3週間ぶりにウラン・ウデに戻ってきた。一度でも滞在した事がある場所は、 「知っている」と言うことで安心感が得られる。

I reached Mongolian border. One stuff brought my passport and I lost him. I had to find him because other stuff suggested if you don't have your passport, you are killed by illegal arrival... I could receive my passport, I passed border about 2 hours. To through border is very lazy and annoying. After I met policemans with machine guns and rained and one hotel front office woman quickly said as soon as look my face "Net (No)", I reached at one hotel. I had one secure feeling because I have come here before once.

　翌日のお昼に外へ土曜と鍵を預けに行くと、メッセージがあった。 早速その部屋へ行くと、ウラジオストックでバイクを買って、 タンデムでラトビアへ戻るビートスとレイモに出会う。彼らはタンデムで ハバロフスク→チタ間を走ったそうで、凄い奴らがいたものだとビックリ。 （逆に、元旦宗谷の写真を見せると絶句していたが・・・） 早速お昼を食べに行く。その後、夕食を食べに行こうとしたらブラジルから 来ているタシオとマリオ、アメリカからのハンスの3人がホテル前にいた。 彼らは日本に来る際にカルネ取得で苦労しており、WTNJの方が手助けをした 経緯を持っている。結局、無事に日本に入国し、北海道の稚内からサハリンへ渡り、 サハリンからユーラシア大陸へ入ってきた強者達だ。

Next day, I recieved one massage when I went out of hotel at lunch time. This message from Litva riders "Bytaus and Laimio". They rode tandem and came through from Khabarovsk to Chita bad road. I was supprised. They wrer great! (On the other hand, when they looked my winter Hokkaidou turing photos, they were supprised and at aloss for words.) We talked and took lunch together. And we met three riders. Tacio and Mario were from Brazil, Hans was from USA. They had Carnet trubles when they import their motorcycles in Japan. WTNJ (World Turing Network Japan) members helped them. They rode Honda 1500 or 1800cc big bikes and came through Hokkaidou, Saharin, Shiberia.

　月がかわった8月1日、イルクーツクへ向けて出発する。モンゴルを出発する 数日前から急に夕方が涼しくなっていたが、この頃には日中の気温も20℃まで しか上がらなくなった。大陸の急激な秋への移行に体は付いていけない。寒い。 途中のバイカル湖（世界で一番深く、水量はアメリカの五大湖を合わせたのより 多いと、Lonley Planetのロシア版には書いてある）では、バイカル名産の魚を 昼食に食べる。外を軽くスモークにしてあり、中は柔らかいままで食べれる。 ニシンの様に小骨が多いがなかなか美味しい。日本人的にはここで醤油があれば なお良しなのだが・・・（あと、大根おろしも）

At the beginning of the next month first day, I strted from Ulan-ude. From Mongolia last day, Day time temperature was Max 20 degrees. It was not cool, was cold for me. But Russian people wore short shirts. Unbelieveable! In the lunch time, I arrived the Lake Baikal. It retains more water than total volume of Great Lakes in USA, and most deep lake. (Information is from Lonly Planet Russian version.) I ate Lake Bikal speciallity fish "Omry". Its urface was smoked and inside was soft white meet. Its taste was good, but I want a soy sauce because Japanese put soy sauce on grilled or raw fishes.

　その後、途中でオーストラリアから来ているフィル達3人、 クラスノヤルスクの方から来ているロシアのライダーイワン達4人と出会う。 昨日から今日にかけて、随分と多くのライダーに出会うな。こんな日が続くのかな？ 夕方にイルクーツクに到着。インターネットカフェでHPの更新とメールチェックを して、この日は終わった。

After lunch, I met Phil and his friends on the road. They started London and were going to Vladivostock. I hope we met in Australia after two years. And I met Russian riders "Ivan and his wife, Sasha and his wife". They were going to Lake Bikal to camp. (Ivan was one Russian rider friend, I could know tomorrow.) Yesterday and today were rider day. In the evening, I met Irkutsk.
