　モザンビークのケリマネ Quelimane から西へ向かい、ジンバブエに入国する。 この日のスタートはインド洋の海抜 0m からなので、つねに上り坂が続く。 ジンバブエは山の国と聞いていたが、 国境も確かに山の中。国境の事務所脇の木には猿がいたりした。 最初の街ムタレ Mutare に入るが、「ガソリンが無いとの話は何だったのか？」と。 周辺国よりも安い価格で何事も無く売っていた。しかも街並みは整然としており、 銀行のATMからお金を下ろせ （後に闇レートと公定レートの差が2倍近いことを知り、自分は損をしていたのだが・・・ なお、公定レートは US$=6,300 Zimbabwe dollars (Z$) 闇はUS$=Z$10,500）、 これまで通過したアフリカの何処の国よりも近代的でビックリした。 ムタレではゲストハウスに泊まり（Z$80,000）した後、 首都のハラレ Harare へ向かう。 宿は Palm Villa Guest House を選択した。（ドミトリーで一泊 Z$45,000） 宿に着くと YAMAHA XT660 が中に置いてあり、 静物さん（別名エース）に追いついたことに気が付く。 同じ部屋になったので、これまでのアフリカの事など色々な話をしていた。 ハラレで4泊した後、静物さんと同じ日にハラレを離れた。 （なお、静物さんはモザンビークから海沿いに走って南アフリカへ入り、 ケープタウンから南米へ飛ぶ予定との事。南アフリカで再会できるかな？）
On Feb 21, I moved from Mozabmeque to Zimbabwe. Starting point "Quelimane" is seaside city, and Zimbabwe is mountain area. Uphill slope continued until border. I heard "no petrol in Zimbabwe" from European car driving turist. My motorcycle tank is only 13l, it can drive max 400 km. So I was warried about worst case. But there were not only petrols, but also supermarkets, ATMs... What was my information??? (But ATM rate is official parity rate, it was US$=6,300 Zimbabwe dollars (Z$). Black market rate was US$=Z$10,500. I lost some money...) First day, I stayed one guest house (Z$80,000) in Mutare. Next day, I moved to capital city "Harare". I checked in Palm Villa Guest House, I watched YAMAHA XT660 in this house. This motorcycle owner was one Japanese rider "Sei-butsu" and I knew him. I and his room were same, so we talked about each other turings. I stayed 4 nights and moved to Victoria Falls.

左：順調に走っていたのですが、休憩時にオイルが殆ど無いことに気が付く。
右：慌ててガソリンスタンドでオイル交換。エンジン内に約250mlしか残ってなかった・・・
Left: I left Harare and drove on wheels. But I noticed my engine oil was almost lost...
Right: So I exchanged my oil but old one was only abut 250 ml. (Correct level is 850 ml.)
