トルコからシリアへと入り、石鹸で有名なアレッポ目指してバイクを走らせる。 沿道の村々の様子がトルコ南部よりも20年近く遅れているように感じ、 その経済状況の違いにビックリした。アレッポでは予め調べておいた 「Spring Flower Hostel」 を目指すものの、肝心の地図を書き写し忘れており、 更に日没後でもあり自分が街の何処にいるか さえ怪しくなった。たまたま見つけた高級ホテル 「DIWAN RASMY HOTEL」のゼネラルマネージャーのロンメル (Rommel) がタクシーで案内までしてくれ、 無事にチェックインすることが出来た。カッパドキアでも同じ宿だった方がいたので、一緒に夕飯を食べに行く。 イラン料理に近いがもう少しバリエーションがある料理であった。一人80シリアポンド（約160円）と安い。
After I acrossed the border, I went to Aleppo this is famous of the soap. I felt the houses along the route were dogeared, I could understand the different between Turkey and Syria economic. I arrived Aleppo about 1.5 hours riding but I did not have a map of Aleppo. I wanted to stay "Spring Flowere Hostel", but I could not find. After the sunset, I lost my position in city. Accidentally, I found one high class hotel "DIWAN RASMY HOTEL" and this mannager "Rommel" tought and followed me. After check in, I and one Japanese backpacker went and had the dinner at one local restaurant. Cyrian foods were similar to Iran, but cheap (80 Syria Pond, US$0.8).

　翌日は雨の為に宿で休息日。中東で雨なんて予想できませんでしたが、 冬のシーズンは結構雨が降ります。しかし、家の作りは乾燥対策が第一で、 雨漏りもチラホラ・・・ 夕方に散歩をしてから宿に戻ると、 中国のカシュガル「色満旅館」で同じ部屋だったバックパッカー二人組と偶然に再会。 ウズベキスタンで荷物の盗難など、色々あって大変だった模様。 自分はイランでのエンジン修理、彼女らはウズベキのトラブルが無ければ こうして再会することも無かったと思う。凄い偶然だなぁ、と。 その後、他に泊まっていた日本からのバックパッカーさん達と、食事や市内散策を共にしていた。
Next day was rain. I took a rest time in my room until evening. I walked in central city area and returned hostel, I accidentally met two ladies. I met them at Kashgar, China. Very lucky! After this renuion, we and other backpackers ran with the teams.
